Men’s Ministry

Our Vision:

The endeavor of the Men’s Ministry here at The River Of Life Assembly is to Encourage, Equip and Empower every man to be what God wants them to be.
We desire that the men of The River of Life Assembly will be set free to serve God by:

  • Discerning God’s plan for their own discipleship and walk with God.

  • Breaking the emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical shackles that bind them.

  • Finding their place in the body of Christ, local community and marketplace that God has called them to.

  • Effectively using their God-given gifts and talents to serve God in their families, workplace and in the church.

This vision is one that we believe will be progressively fulfilled by the Holy Spirit as we increasingly surrender to His will and plans for us.

We Emphasize

  • The importance of prayer and encourage our men to commit to a life of prayer – for self, family, church, work and world.

  • The study the word of God to renew their minds, so that every wrong concept can be replaced by what God’s Word has to say about it and about them.

We Encourage our men to

  • Seek God and develop a personal and intimate relationship with Him.

  • Seek to be united with & committed to one another and to the Church family.

Reiterate that

  • Men have an important role to play in God’s scheme of things, at home, in the church and in the world.

  • We are called to be contributors and not spectators or bystanders.

  • Every man is important in God’s eyes and we must see them as such.

As a first step in this direction, over the course of 2014, we haveundertaken the study of the book “Disciplines of a Godly Man” by R. KentHughes, during the monthly meetings.
We continue this study through 2015, exploring how we can grow in maturity and Christ-likeness through spiritual disciplines.

We meet every first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 AM.

Come and meet with some wonderful men and join us for a great time of fellowship.
